Participation Requirements
The Datathon is open to all every day problem solvers. All members of a registered team must reside in Virginia. Teams can have 2-6 members. Teams are also required to attend the event in person on October 16, 2026, at The Nicholas Center at Brightpoint Community College in Chester, Virginia (13101 US-1, Chester, VA 23831). Team members who aren't present on event day will be ineligible for awards, unless there's an emergency communicated in a timely manner to the Datathon Team at odga@odga.virginia.gov.
To help keep judging fair and unbiased, teams may not use a name that identifies their school or agency, and participants should avoid wearing clothing or accessories on event day that reveal any school or agency affiliation.
