Team Registration
Registration opens on September 1, 2026 with the rules for registration seen below.
Participation Requirements
To participate, teams must be made up of college students or employees of a Virginia state agency, and all members must reside in Virginia. Teams are also required to attend the event in person on October 16, 2026, at The Nicholas Center at Brightpoint Community College in Chester, Virginia (13101 US-1, Chester, VA 23831). Team members who aren't present on event day will be ineligible for awards, unless there's an emergency communicated in a timely manner to the Datathon Team at odga@odga.virginia.gov.
To help keep judging fair and unbiased, teams may not use a name that identifies their school or agency, and participants should avoid wearing clothing or accessories on event day that reveal any school or agency affiliation.
